A Prayer From the Epistle for 17th Ordinary Sunday

Almighty and everlasting God, we pray as the Apostle Paul; that, according to the riches of your glory, you will grant us strength through the power of your Spirit. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we may be rooted and grounded in love. We pray for the power to comprehend, the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ. And that, filled with the fullness of God, by your power at work within us, we will be able to accomplish far more than we can ask or imagine. All this we pray and do in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and for his sake. Amen.
